Program Overview
Our Purpose
To uplift widows and vulnerable women in the community by providing safe housing, economic empowerment, and emotional support, ensuring dignity and stability for their families
At our academy, we believe in building strong communities by caring for the most vulnerable. Our Widow Empowerment & Housing Program provides widows with safe homes, skills training, and support networks. Through community-driven housing projects and economic empowerment initiatives, we restore dignity and create opportunities for widows and their families to thrive. WSA also provides them with basic beddings and food to enable them feel like other families.
Main Activities:
Housing Projects – Mobilize resources to build safe and dignified homes for widows.
Skills Training – Empower widows with tailoring, small trade, and agriculture skills.
Community Kitchens & Nutrition – Ensure widows and their children access healthy meals.
Sports Inclusion – Widows participate in academy community days, serving as role models of resilience.
Fundraising Campaigns – Engage well-wishers, alumni, and local leaders to support widow housing
Main Objectives:
Provide decent housing – Construct them houses, provide beddings for widows in need and other vulnerables.
Promote economic independence – Training in small businesses, farming, and crafts.
Offer psychosocial support – Counseling and community bonding activities.
Integrate widows into community programs – Involve them in academy activities (gardens, mentorship, nutrition, & playground levelling etc.).
The Impacts:
